The Lync Web App is a fully functional version of Lync that includes video conferencing, desktop sharing, polling, Q&A tools and more. Essentially all the features that are available in the 2013 PC version of Lync that are not available on the 2011 Mac version, can be accessed through this application.


Meeting coordinators can schedule Lync meetings right from their browser by going to the following URL:

Upon creating a meeting you’ll be given a URL for your meeting that you can send out individuals in your meeting invite or via e-mail.



Meeting attendees will be greeting with the following screen. If they have not installed the browser plug in, they will be asked to do so. The browser plug in requires a PC or Mac. Users on devices such as an iPad or Android device should join using their platform's appropriate app, available through the App Store or Google Play.
