In order to use your gaming or BlueRay device, you must register it on the wired (not wireless) network in your dorm room. This article tells you how to find the wired (LAN) Mac address of your device so you can register your device on the network. XBOX One


1. If you are signed into your profile, navigate to My Games & Apps. Skip this step if you are not signed into a profile.




2. Click on Settings.




3. Select Network from the Settings window.




4. Select Advanced settings.




5. The Wired Mac address will be found in the list at the right.







Xbox 360



1. Press the Guide button on your controller.




2. Go to Settings, and then System Settings.




3. Select Network Settings.




4. Select Wired Network.




5. Choose Configure Network.




6. Go to the Additional Settings tab, and then select Advanced Settings.




7. You will see the Wired Mac Address listed.







Playstation 4




1. Turn on your Playstation 4 without a disc.



2. Navigate to the Settings icon.




3. Select the System icon.




4. Select System Information.




5. You will find the Mac address listed in the Mac Address (LAN cable) field.







Playstation 3



1. Start up your Playstation 3 without a disc.



2. Find the Settings icon and select the X.



3. Click Network Settings and press the X.




4. Select Settings and Connection Status List and press the X.




5. Your Mac address will be in the list.






Playstation 2


1. Start your PS2 and load a Network Adaptor Startup Disc.



2. Select ISP Setup on the main page.

3. Click Agree under the 'License Agreement.'



4. Select Local Area Network.

5. Click Automatic Configuration.



6. Select Advanced on the 'connection test' screen.

7. Your MAC address will be at the bottom of the page.





Wii U


Since the Wii doesn't come with an Ethernet port built in, you will have to purchase a wired LAN adapter.



1.  On your Wii U GamePad, go to the menu and select System Setting.



2.  Choose Internet, and then choose View MAC Address.




3.   You will find your MAC address listed as the LAN Adapter MAC Address.






Wii


Since the Wii doesn't come with an Ethernet port built in, you will have to purchase a wired LAN adapter. 


1. Start your Wii, without a disc.



2. Click the Wii button at the bottom of the start screen.



3. Click Wii Settings.




4. Select the right arrow to get to the 2nd set of settings, and choose the Internet option.

 

 

 



5. Select Console information.




6. The MAC Address will then come up on the next page as the LAN Adapter Mac Address.

 

 



Note: If you are using a 3rd party Ethernet Adapter, the MAC Address may show up as all zeros.



Steps to find the Mac Address (in this case):


1. Plug your Wii LAN adapter into a USB port on your Windows PC and wait for any Drivers to install. (They should be called Generic USB Ethernet Adapter.)


2. After installation completes, go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt.


3. Type ipconfig /all & press Enter.


4. Scroll up until you find USB Ethernet Adapter.


5. Write down the alphanumeric Physical Address that follows this format: XX-XX-XX-XX-XX.





Roku


You can only use a Roku if your Roku player has an Ethernet port.  Not all models have Ethernet ports.



1.  The wired MAC address can be found on the side or bottom of the player. 



2.  If you can't find the MAC address that way, open the home screen and go to Settings > Network



3.  The MAC address will be listed as either Ethernet Address or Wired MAC Address.





AppleTV



1. Open the main menu and select Settings > About.



2.  You should be able to see the MAC address listed as either Ethernet Address or Hardware Address.





Blu-Ray Player


Blu-ray players must be connected using an Ethernet cable.  Visit the support website of the manufacturer, find your model of player, then look for directions on how to find your device's MAC address,
