What is MAP and Who Uses It?

Modified on Wed, 05 Aug 2020 at 01:57 PM

MAP (My Assessment Portfolio) is the Lesley University name of the assessment tool managed and operated by LiveText. Lesley University students use the MAP system to create electronic portfolios, or ePortfolios, on the LiveText website. Master's degree programs within the Graduate School of Education (GSOE), with exception of PhD students, are required to complete an ePortfolio to document their work and demonstrate learning throughout their program of study.

Each program requires key assignments to be submitted to each course for assessment. In addition to required portfolios, students may create their own professional and personal portfolios to share with others outside of the University. These portfolios are often used during job searches and can provide examples of the student’s best work for prospective employers.

Your initial seven-year subscription will be created through the keycode registration process for the MAP ePortfolio account via LiveText. There is a one-time, non-refundable subscription fee of $150.00 associated with MAP ePortfolio use. This fee will be posted on your tuition bill. Financial Aid can be used to cover this fee.
