For more information, go to the Edit Your myLesley Profile support article.

Upload Files Directly from OneDrive and Google (Available Now)

Blackboard's cloud storage integration allows you to connect to multiple cloud storage apps so that you can easily add an attachment or submit an assignment that you stored online. You no longer need to download it to your computer in order to upload it to Blackboard. Please note that this creates a copy of your file; if you update the document in OneDrive or Google it will not update the document in myLesley.

Available cloud services include OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box. For more information, go to the Add Files from Cloud Storage into myLesley support article.

Microsoft OneDrive Integration (Available Now)

The Microsoft OneDrive integration in myLesley provides you with the ability to:

  • Link to Office 365 files including Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, and Excel files.
  • Create collaborative documents for you and your students to collaborate and engage together in real-time or asynchronously.

This will create an embedded file in your course. If you  update or make changes to your document in OneDrive, the embedded file will reflect those changes in your course.

For more information, go to the Using the Microsoft OneDrive Integration in myLesley support article

New Blackboard Mobile App (Available Now)

The new unified Blackboard app for instructors and students is now available. You’ll get the same modern and intuitive experience in any device, in a single app, with the features that both students and instructors use the most.

If you are already using the Blackboard app, simply update the app to get all the latest features.

Blackboard's legacy instructor-only app (Blackboard Instructor) will be discontinued on September 30, 2022. Instructors should transition to the new Blackboard app.

Download or update the Blackboard app now!

File Upload Indicator (Available Now)

Blackboard will now display a file upload indicator after users submit/upload files to let users know how long it will take to upload large files or files over a slow connection. The upload indicator animation will now appear on the following pages: assignment submission, content item, discussion board, SCORM.

Grading Student Submissions: Undo/Redo (Available Now)

When grading student assignments within Blackboard, instructors will now have access to undo and redo buttons. The undo/redo buttons are located in the menu at the top of the page.

Ally: Immersive Reader Format (Available Now)

Immersive Reader is now available as an Ally alternative format. Immersive Reader is a free tool designed to enhance the reading experience and increase the readability of the content. It is designed to help people improve their reading, comprehension, and grammar skills and is already integrated into many Microsoft products. For more information, watch the Ally Immersive Reader tutorial video.

Grading and Feedback: Summary of Annotations (Coming in September)

After using the inline grading tool to add annotations to a submitted assignment, instructors and students will be able to view a side panel summarizing all comments. Selecting a comment from the list will navigate the user to the location of the comment in the document.

VoiceThread Assignments

Instructors: Setting Prerequisites (Available Now)

When creating a new VoiceThread assignment, you now have the option to set prerequisites, ensuring that students complete a previous assignment before they can move on to a new one.
