For comprehensive information about vaccination/immunization policies, requirements, and exemptions, check our website. You’ll find a brief overview below. Students cannot study, work, or live on campus until they submit proof that they meet Lesley's vaccine requirementsLog into the University patient portal to upload immunization and other health documents.

COVID-19 and Influenza Vaccination:

Undergraduate, graduate, or Threshold students, whether studying, working, or living on campus, are strongly encouraged to stay up-to-date on COVID-19 vaccinations based on personal risk assessments. Please consult the CDC website or your physician for your personal risk assessment. Upload proof of your immunizations into the University patient portal.

Immunizations Required by Massachusetts Law:

All students under age 30 must show proof of state-mandated vaccinations via the University patient portal:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 doses, or a positive serological test result showing immunity. Exempt if born in the U.S. before 1957.
  • Tdap: 1 dose given within last 10 years
  • Varicella: 2 doses or medical documentation that you had chicken pox; or a positive serological test result showing immunity. Exempt if born in the U.S. before 1980.
  • Hepatitis B: 3 doses or a positive serological test showing immunity.
  • Meningococcus: newly enrolled students 21 years of age and younger must provide documentation of having received a dose of quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine on or after their 16th birthday.

Other Immunization Requirements:

All students must complete an annual TB screening questionnaire found on the University patient portal. Returning students must also complete the TB screening questionnaire once a year.

Medical and Religious Exemptions:

The Massachusetts College Immunization Law allows for limited exemptions. Please complete the medical or religious exemption form in the University patient portal. All requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and you will be notified of the decision by Student Health Service.
