About the Career Resource Center
The Career Resource Center (CRC) helps students clarify their career goals, prepare for a job search, and apply for professional employment, part-time student jobs, and summer jobs.
Career Events
Students are encouraged to attend career sessions throughout their experience at Lesley. Workshops encourage skill-building and focus on topics including:
- Effective resumes that promote skills and experience
- Cover letters that are strategically aligned with a specific internship or job
- Enhance your job search by using AI
- LinkedIn and your career network
- Interviewing and effective self-promotion strategies
- Further education exploration and writing effective graduate school essays
- Integrating AI into all phases of the career development process
Resume/Cover Letter Clinics and Job Search Clinics
Resume/Cover Letter Clinics and Job Search Clinics provide students with the opportunity to join with other to receive feedback, learn from each other, and share resources. Alumni within the first year after degree completion are welcome to attend workshops and clinics.
Lesley Employer Partner Career Fair
This annual event takes place in March and is open to students, alumni, and prospective students. Attendees meet with Lesley Scholar Partners on South Campus and discuss professional jobs and internships opportunities. The 2026 date is Wednesday, March 25.
Handshake
All Lesley students in degree programs are uploaded to Handshake–an online, one-stop resource where students and alumni can search for jobs and career-related events.
The Resource section on Handshake includes information on résumés, cover letter templates, interview questions related to Lesley programs, thank you email templates, sample employers, and more.
Using Handshake
To access Handshake, go to lesley.joinhandshake.com. Sign in using your Lesley username and password if requested. Then, respond to the profile questions. Click on "Career Center" to access the Resources.
Alumni Access
After completing their degree, graduates continue to have access to Handshake to search for positions and use the resources. The login process will remain the same: click "Lesley University Student Login" to sign in. If you're already logged into a Lesley service such as your Lesley email, the login process will be automatic via Lesley's Single Sign-On process. Remember: your Lesley email is for life. You'll be prompted to change your password every 6 months.
If you graduated in 2018 or before, go to Handshake and click on "Sign up here" in the upper right. Lesley graduates can use their Lesley or personal email address.
Alumni are encouraged to join the Lesley Alumni Network and explore the Professional Learning Network.

Alison Angell, Interim Director, Career Resource Center (she/her)
Alison Angell is the Interim Director of the Career Resource Center. Alison likes to support students and alumni move from confusion and questions to a sense of clarity and motivation about their next steps. She is passionate about creating pathways for students and alumni to connect with employers for mutual benefit. Alison leads regular career workshops for students to gain career development skills and learn from each other.
