In the new Colleague UI, when you are running a process that takes more than 60 seconds, you will get a “Processing...” message. This message box will include a “Stop Waiting” button and additional information about the process.
The “Stop Waiting” button, will not abort the process, however we do not recommend clicking on Stop Waiting because it will no longer be obvious that you are waiting for a process to complete. The button was designed to hide the “Processing…” window but you will be returned to the original form and will need to continue waiting for the current request to complete.
If the session remains hung with the same window after a five or more minutes (and this process has not taken this much time in the past), do the following:
- Take a screenshot of the Processing window, as shown above. This will help IT investigate the hung session issue and will be needed for opening a support ticket with Ellucian, if necessary.
- If the session remains hung, kill the session manually by closing out of the browser window.
- Contact IT by emailing it@lesley.edu and include the screen shot and the form/process you were running.
