When do I begin repayment on my student loans?

If you're enrolled at least half-time* your loan servicer should enter you into an in-school deferment status. During this time, no payment is required and subsidized loans remain in an interest-free status.

If you fall below half-time enrollment status, you'll begin repayment on your loans. This begins approximately 6 months after you've ceased to be half-time. At any time, you have the option to make quarterly interest payments on any unsubsidized loans you might have borrowed. 

* Half-time enrollment is: 

• at least 6 credits per semester at the undergraduate level 
• 3 credits per semester for most graduate programs
