About the Syllabus
As a best practice, upload a copy of your syllabus to the Syllabus area of your course so that your students can easily access it. Upload your syllabus as a Word (.docx) and run the Microsoft Office Accessibility Checker to ensure that your syllabus is accessible to all users.
Post Your Syllabus in Original Course View
Click the Syllabus link in your course menu. If you do not have a Syllabus link, see Adding Content to Your myLesley Course for instructions on adding a content area.
This will bring you into the Syllabus area of your course. Here you will find a placeholder for your Syllabus as well as a link to the Syllabus Statements.
In the Syllabus item, click on the chevron to open a menu and select Edit.
Here you may edit the Item name (the default is Syllabus) and modify or delete the text. To upload your Syllabus, click on the Add Content (+) button to open a menu.
Select Insert Local Files to locate the file on your computer and upload your Syllabus.
Make any additional changes to your item and click Submit to save.
Post Your Syllabus in Ultra Course View
In your Course Content, click on your Course Syllabus and Introduction folder. Hover your mouse over the location in the folder where you wish to upload your Syllabus. A purple line with a plus sign (+) will appear. Click on the plus sign to open a menu and select Upload.
Locate the file on your computer and select it to upload. You will then be prompted to edit your file options. You may edit the file's display name and decide how you would like students to interact with your document: view and download, view only, or download only.
Click Save to save your changes.
