Submit your sabbatical application through the AY26 Sabbatical Application Dynamic Form.

See AY26 Dates and Deadlines on SharePoint for all relevant dates of the process.


Documents Required for Application

When applying for a sabbatical, you'll need to have the following three documents ready:


1. Abbreviated CV

2. Annual Report (this year's or last year's)

3. Proposal (all one document, 5-10 pages, single-spaced) 

a. Brief Abstract (no more than 300 words, please)

b. Description of Sabbatical Project

i. Goals of the Sabbatical

ii. Planned activities designed to achieve those goals

iii. Timeline/implementation plan for those activities 

iv. Intended “product” that will demonstrate your plan’s success 

v. Intended accomplishments or effects of sabbatical (including how sabbatical will help you contribute to your field) 

c. Professional Activity and/or Interest as it Relates to Proposed Project 

d. Relationship Between Proposal and Your Current and Subsequent Professional Growth

e. Relationship of Proposed Sabbatical to Your Professional Development Within the Context of Benefit to Lesley University

f. Relationship of the Intended Sabbatical Accomplishments to the Performance of Your Responsibilities at Lesley
