Microsoft Copilot (Available for Free)
Lesley University provides access to Copilot from Microsoft. Copilot is an AI assistant powered by OpenAI's GPT models (the same technology behind ChatGPT). You can find it bundled with Microsoft 365. It's available to all members of the Lesley community using their University account. Access Microsoft Copilot at the following link:
Other Tools (User Discretion)
Lesley University doesn't provide free or discounted accounts for other AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc.). Using these tools comes at your own personal cost and time, exploring learning opportunities for how to use them. Our institutional tool, Microsoft Copilot, keeps your info much safer than those consumer versions. For example, Copilot never uses your chats, files, or emails to train its AI, locks your data in our school's secure zone with top-notch encryption, and follows strict privacy laws like GDPR, unlike ChatGPT, where your inputs might get saved or reviewed unless you tweak special settings.
Getting Started with Microsoft Copilot
If you are new to Copilot, Microsoft provides a library of video tutorials to help you get started:
