Student Support for Attendance and Presentations at Professional Events

Modified on Wed, Mar 25 at 9:32 AM

Lesley University has funding opportunities to support (1) individual students who have been accepted to present their scholarly, creative, or professional work at a recognized conference, symposia, juried festival, or similar professional event and (2) groups of students who have been accepted to present or, when funding resources allow, simply wish to attend a recognized conference, symposia, juried festival, or similar professional event.

There is a limit of $350 per student per fiscal year.

Support for group attendance only (not presenting) may be provided but only when costs are significantly less than $350 per student. For group attendance requests, please check with the Provost's Office prior to applying to ascertain what would be considered an acceptable cost for group attendance.

Applications are to be submitted via dynamic forms - which outline the eligibility requirements and provide more detailed information and instructions:

  1. Student Individual Conference - Form initiated by individual students who have been accepted as a presenter and then sent to the student’s faculty sponsor for review
  2. Student Group Conference - Form initiated by a faculty (academic) sponsor in support of a group of students

Please send any questions to Steve Shapiro (steven.shapiro@lesley.edu), Vice Provost for Academic Administration and Online Programs.
