About VoiceThread Identities

Identities allow you to record comments under different images and display names. You may use identities to go by different names in different conversations or categorize your comments by their content. You may create as many identities as you wish, but all identities are still tied to your VoiceThread account.

Edit an Identity or Add a Picture to Your Identity

You may edit your VoiceThread identity or add a picture to your identity at any time. To begin, click on the account button the top-right corner of the page and select My Identities from the menu.

This will bring you to your VoiceThread identities. Click the Edit button (pencil icon) next to the Identity you want to edit.

You may edit your identity name and upload a photo. Click Save to save your changes.

Create a New Identity

To create a new identity, click on the account button the top-right corner of the page and select My Identities from the menu.

This will bring you to your VoiceThread identities. Click Add new identity to create a new identity.

You may edit your identity name and, if you wish, upload a photo. Click Save to save your changes.

Switching Identities

To switch between your VoiceThread identities, click on the account button the top-right corner of the page and select My Identities from the menu.

This will bring you to your VoiceThread identities. Click the radio button next to the identity you wish to use. Click Save to save your changes.
