How to check your email rules in Office 365

Modified on Fri, 02 Nov 2018 at 01:21 PM

These instructions show how to check email rules that may be filtering your incoming email. A common tactic among hackers that have gained access to your email account is to create a rule to hide email so you’re not aware of their activity.

1. Log into www.lesley.edu/office365 in a web browser.

2. Click the gear icon in the top right corner, then select the Mail option near the bottom.

3. Click the Inbox and sweep rules option on the left-hand menu.

4. In the center pane, you’ll see the Inbox rules, if any. When you click on one to select it, the description of what it does will be displayed to the right.  If you see any rules that look suspicious, such as deleting mail, please contact Lesley’s Information Technology team at it@lesley.edu
