What happens to my financial aid if I receive an outside scholarship?

An outside scholarship is any scholarship not awarded by the government or by Lesley. These scholarships come from private companies, philanthropists or foundations.

We apply any outside scholarship you receive to your “unmet need.” That's the amount you owe after your other financial aid. We then reduce self-help funds such as loans and work-study. This lets you replace your loans—which must be repaid—with the outside scholarship.
