Academic Coordinators Council

Modified on Thu, 18 Jan 2024 at 01:55 PM

An Academic Coordinators Council has been created to provide support to academics in a variety of ways. The purpose of the Council is to respond to needs while assessing how the work is done.  This article explains whom to contact for help in different situations.

Council Members

The Academic Coordinators Council consists of four academic coordinators, one assigned to each academic area:

  • Mary Powell for Liberal Arts and Business
  • Venise Murphy for Education
  • Jen Pappas for Mental Health & Well-Being
  • Atoosa Malekani for the College of Art & Design

The Council is under the purview of the Office of the Provost and will be led by Lisa O’Neill, Special Assistant to the Provost. The academic coordinators will support the general administrative needs of their own academic area and will be cross-trained to be able to support other academic areas as needed.  As a team, the Council will work toward creating efficient and standardized processes where possible across academic areas. Team members will cover for one another when differing workloads demand.

The Academic Affairs Budget Coordinator, Shannon Deiana, will support all of Academic Affairs by overseeing the budgets, processing expense payments, reimbursements, and other expenditures.
