The Lesley University Counseling Center (LUCC) provides free, confidential short-term individual therapy, both in-person and through telehealth, as well as other services designed to meet a variety of student needs.

Counseling And Wellness Services
Therapy, Appointments, And Wellness Programs
The center offers wellness events, workshops on mental health topics, and Rapid Access or Single Session appointments to ensure that students have timely access to care.
For those requiring ongoing support, the center also provides referrals for longer-term therapy to Riverside Community Care, our mental health partner on campus for longer-term care, or to other providers in the community if needed.
Spaces And Self-Guided Resources
Beyond direct counseling, LUCC offers a wide range of supportive resources, including confidential telehealth spaces for appointments with outside providers, a sensory room for taking a restorative break, and a lending library and worksheet wall for self-directed exploration.
Students can also access guided mindfulness meditation online, as well as self-guided suicide prevention and mental well-being trainings.
Riverside Community Care and Longer-Term Support
The LUCC also partners with Riverside Community Care. Referrals to Riverside's outpatient center can be made for care options such as:
- long-term therapy appointments
- medication assessment and management
- specialized services
The Riverside Outpatient Center at Cambridge is an independent, licensed mental health provider. Staffed by Riverside clinicians, it offers a wide range of behavioral healthcare services. If Riverside cannot provide a service, referrals to community outpatient services are available.
Who Can Use LUCC Services?
Please note: To receive LUCC services, students must be in Lesley University undergraduate, graduate, or Threshold programs. Students must also be currently enrolled in classes and physically located in Massachusetts.
Contact The Counseling Center
The Counseling Center is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and is closed on weekends, school breaks, and holidays. It is located on the fourth floor of Schwartz Hall at 23 Mellen Street on the Doble Campus. Emergency Mental Health Resources
Our emergency resources are as follows:
Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) Access Line: (offers 24/7 phone services support with a clinician): Call 833-222-2030 (must be in MA)
Local Emergency Room (for students on campus): CHA Behavioral Health Urgent Care walk-in services including an assessment and recommendations. Their hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8 am to 8 pm, and Saturday to Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm. CHA - Cambridge Hospital is located 1493 Cambridge Street, Cambridge, MA
