Lesley University provides a standard model of computer across campus. The device and operating system we have selected ensure maximum compatibility with the Lesley University electronic environment. Using a non-standard device can exclude you from access to applications and services required to perform the essential duties of employment. Managers or supervisors should complete the Non-standard Computer Request Form to make a request that goes above and beyond the provided technology standard.
Each department is allowed additional desktop computers to be shared by student workers. The number of computers allotted for student worker use will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Student employees are not issued laptop computers.
The following computer is the standard computer model supported by Lesley University Information Technology. A special order system may be ordered from Microsoft, however these systems are built to order and can take up to 2 - 4 weeks to procure.
HP Computers ordered within the last 3 - 4 years are not eligible for replacement with a new computer
iPads are not available as a laptop or desktop replacement through the IT capital purchase process, however departments can purchase these devices using department funds.
