How to empty your deleted items in Outlook

  Even the Deleted Items folder in Outlook is part of your total email capacity. Users must empty their Deleted Items folder to effectively free up space toward their email quota.

  1. On the Go menu, click Folder List.
  2. In the Folder List, right-click the folder, and then click Empty Deleted Items Folder on the shortcut menu.
  3. Click Yes.
