Welcome to Lesley University! We want to make sure you get all your technology needs squared away so you can focus on your schoolwork and enjoy your time here! Please use the information below to get yourself set up and acquainted with technology at Lesley.
Before Your Program Begins
1) Claim your account and create a password
You should have received an email with a link so that you can claim your account and update your password. If you lost or did not receive this paperwork, don't worry. Just give us a call or email us and we'll be happy to help you get set up. Here is an article with instructions on how to claim your account - Claiming your Lesley account.
2) Log in to your Lesley email at lesley.edu/email
Your Lesley email is your official means of communication while attending school here. Your professors, staff, organizations, and other students will use it to get in touch with you. You can access it on the web, or easily add it to your smartphone or other mobile device by installing the Outlook app. You can also add the full Microsoft Office 365 suite - including the Outlook desktop application - while you are a student at Lesley. Here are the directions on how to do so.
To log in to your Lesley email account on the web, go to lesley.edu/email and enter your Lesley email address and password.
3) Familiarize yourself with Self-Service at lesley.edu/selfservice
You'll access Self-Service to review admission and financial aid application statuses, your class schedule, grades, and unofficial transcripts. You'll also use it to request official transcripts, register for classes, and apply for graduation.
4) Familiarize yourself with myLesley at lesley.edu/mylesley
myLesley, also referred to as BlackBoard, is a learning management system. You'll use it to do things like access online courses, view class assignments and syllabi, have online class discussions, submit papers, contact your instructor and classmates, and access library databases. You will be able to access myLesley the next day after you register for your first class(es).
For On-Campus Students
1) Connect to the wireless network.
All the information you could need for our wireless network can be found here.
2) Connect to the wired network in your dorm.
In your dorm room, for the fastest speeds possible, plug your computer into the wired network. Pick up an Ethernet cable from a local office supply store and connect it from your computer to the red port in your room. You can find additional troubleshooting steps here.
3) Find the computer labs.
We have public computer labs with printers and scanners on every campus, and some are open 24/7 so that you can get your work done at any time of the day.
You can also print to the lab printers from your own computer using a feature called WebPrint.
