Why am I getting a refund?

Modified on Thu, Dec 8, 2022 at 1:01 PM

Are you receiving more financial aid than what your student account charges were for the semester? If so, you'll receive the remaining amount credited back to you. If you added your checking or savings account to the Student Account Center (SAC), your credit balance will be direct deposited.

In most cases, students receiving a refund borrowed an excess amount in student loans. To reduce your indebtedness, we advise borrowing only the amount you need for education-related purposes.
