Redeeming Field Placement Course Vouchers at Lesley University

Modified on Mon, 10 Jul 2023 at 04:26 PM

The Lesley University Field Placement Office offers course vouchers to organizations hosting Lesley students in internships or field placements. Vouchers can be used as a form of payment for credit or professional development courses. This article explains the program, how to request vouchers, the information required to validate vouchers, and associated guidelines.

Voucher Details:

  • Vouchers can cover the cost of one three-credit course or can be issued as ½ vouchers for 1.5 credits.
  • Employees of the field placement site can redeem vouchers on behalf of the organization/agency. This requires permission from the site director/supervisor.
  • Vouchers can be transferred from the supervisor to other colleagues.
  • Two vouchers can be used in a semester, but only if they are each for ½ credits.
  • Vouchers cannot combine with other discounts.
  • Vouchers cover tuition charges only and do not cover any semester-associated fees. Students must submit payment for all fees after redeeming the voucher.

How to Request a Voucher:

Visit the Student Accounts Office Bill Payment page. Select the "Vouchers" option under "Ways to Pay" to display step-by-step instructions.

Information Required to Validate Course Voucher Requests:

Please provide the following information related to the field placement:

  • Semester and year of supervision
  • Name of the student intern
  • Name of the site supervisor
  • Lesley program under which the supervision was approved

The Field Placement Office will then send an instructional support page to the supervisor. This page will outline the voucher's usage guidelines and restrictions.

After completing the steps outlined above, students will receive confirmation of their course voucher request. In some cases, a request may be denied. In that event, students will receive an email describing the reason for denial.
