Beginning on August 20, 2018, all myLesley users (students, faculty, and staff) will be presented with a window on the myLesley login page asking them to review Blackboard’s privacy policy and consent to any data collection necessary to use Blackboard/myLesley. Blackboard uses cookies to collect small bits of information as you click links and navigate courses in Blackboard. This information is kept in your browser in order to provide functionality and a faster, more seamless experience. Cookies cannot access, read or modify any other data on your computer.
You must agree to the privacy policy and terms of use in order to log in to myLesley.
You may wish to review the following policies in advance:
Lesley University’s Data Security Policy
Blackboard’s Privacy Statement
Blackboard’s Terms of Use
Many technology companies are updating their data and privacy policies in reaction to the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which requires companies to be transparent to users about what information is being collected when using their sites and services and how it is being used. If you want to know more about the GDPR and how Blackboard is supporting it, read their blog post on the topic and/or review the white paper.
If you have any questions or concerns about these policies, email [email protected].
