Colleagues can add payment elections at the time of hire and if you are enrolling for the first time.
New Hire
As a new hire, you will have a task in your Awaiting Your Action inbox Enter Direct Deposit Information: Your Name once you complete the prior assigned tasks such as Enter Personal Information and Validate Contact Information.

Within the task itself, you can enter your information such as Preferred Payment Method.
- Check/Cheque: Receive your pay via a mailed check/cheque.
- Direct Deposit: Receive your pay via direct deposit.

If you are setting up direct deposit, from the same page you can enter your account information such as Account Type, Routing Transit Number, Account Number, and Bank Name. Click OK to save your changes.

Once you click OK, you will be directed to your payment elections. If you choose direct deposit as your preferred payment method and enter your account information, your election will be updated the same. From this page, you can make any additional changes if needed.
If you need to add an account, click the Add action to be able to enter a new account. You have various action to take on your current account such as Edit, Remove, View.

If you would like to split your total pay between accounts, click the '+' to add a new line where a new election can be entered.
You will enter the same information such as payment type, account, and balance. If you split payments, Workday will send the amount or percentage to the selected account, and then the remaining balance will be sent to the other account. Below is an example of a split payment.

Once you have your changes completed, click Submit to save your changes and submit your payment election.

Under Tasks and Reports, click the Payment Elections task.

For the first time, you will click Add to enter your payment election.

You will follow the same steps as shown above to setup your payment elections as a new hire. Once you click OK, your changes will be saved.
