This year’s Summer Academic Technology Institute will guide you through transitioning your course to Blackboard Ultra Course View.
Blackboard Ultra is the new and intuitive version of your myLesley course. It has been completely redesigned and features consistent and intuitive navigation, improved accessibility, streamlined grading, responsive mobile friendly experience, progress tracking, and more.
Important Dates
There will be two required training meetings via Zoom where you will learn to create and facilitate an engaging and user-friendly course for your students.
Introduction to Ultra: Creating Your Course (Required)
Monday, July 21, 9am-12 noon. Online via Zoom.
Teaching Your Ultra Course (Required)
Monday, August 18, 9am-12 noon. Online via Zoom.
Working Meetings (Attend 2 minimum)
Multiple online drop-in sessions will be scheduled throughout the summer to provide hands-on support while you work through your course content. During these sessions, eLIS staff can answer questions, provide training, and brainstorm solutions

Participants will be expected to:
Attend Institute sessions
Develop or make significant progress on a course in Ultra Course View
Teach the course in Ultra during the 2025–2026 academic year
Share your experience and insights with colleagues

Space is limited, so sign-up soon! Open to core and adjunct faculty. Priority will be given to faculty who are converting their course for the first time. This does not mean you need to teach exclusively online - all modalities welcomed.
