Follow the steps below to record or listen to your voicemail greeting, and to explore the additional custom options in the voicemail system.
Record your greeting
- Dial 2222 to access the voicemail system from an on-campus phone. From off campus, dial your full phone number and press * when you hear your voicemail greeting.
- Follow the prompts: “To enter your mail box, press pound (#).” “Please enter your mailbox number.” (your four-digit extension) “Please enter your security code.” (the security code you set up)
- Press 4.
- Select one of the following:
- Press 5 to listen to your current greeting.
- Press 6 to record a new greeting.
- Press 7 to record an out-of-office greeting.
Voicemail custom options
After entering your mailbox, press 16. Then press 1 or 2, depending on what you want to do:
Press 1 for personal options
- 1 Immediate message notification
- 2 Daily message reminder
- 3 Record personal greeting
- 4 Security code
- 5 Record your name
- 6 Record announcements mailbox sponsored
Press 2 for messaging options
- 2 Record name for mailbox you sponsor
- 3 Personal distribution list (you can send a voicemail to more than 10 mailboxes at once; this list is saved for unlimited reuse)
- 4 Message forwarding
- 5 Message presentation
- 6 Message envelope setting
Press * to quit custom options.
