About the Update
On Friday, September 6th, Blackboard will roll out its monthly update with two highly anticipated features. The Course Content page update offers a subtle visual change to your course, but nothing will change with your content.
Course Content Page Improvements
Blackboard is excited to announce some exciting improvements to the course Content page! These changes, based on user feedback, focus on improved navigation, directing your attention and focus on your course's content and activities.
What's new in this update?
- Course Faculty and the Details & Actions menus moved to the right side of the page.
- Subtle spacing and color differences between Learning Modules, Folders, and Content Items.
- A permanent + button between items on the Content page (faculty only).
These changes provide subtle changes to the look and feel of the course, but will not affect your content.

Gradebook Overview Tab (Faculty Only)
The latest improvement to the Ultra Gradebook includes the much-requested Overview tab. Much like Needs Grading in Original Course View, the Overview tab will help you easily stay on top of your grading.
The Overview tab features two sections: Needs Grading and Needs Posting.
- Needs Grading: The Needs Grading section highlights the items ready for grading. Click on Grade Now to begin grading.
- Needs Posting: The Needs Posting section highlights the graded items ready to be posted. Click on Post Now to post the grades.
