What is myLesley?
myLesley (Blackboard) is the university's learning management system and functions as your online classroom. You may use myLesley to attend or teach fully online courses or supplement face-to-face courses, access community resources, and more.
Before getting started, please view the myLesley System Requirements to ensure that your machine is compatible.
To access myLesley, go to http://my.lesley.edu.
To login, click the myLesley Login button.
You will be redirected to a Sign In page (image below) where you will enter your Lesley credentials in the form of firstname.lastname@example.org. You will then be prompted to enter your password to authenticate.
Please note that Safari DOES NOT work with the SSO application on the Mac. Please use Chrome or Firefox and follow these steps to clear your cache if you have any difficulty with SSO in Chrome or Firefox.
For more information on Single Sign-On at Lesley, see Single Sign-On (SSO) at Lesley University.
After logging in, you will find yourself on the myLesley home page. You can navigate to other sections of myLesley by clicking on the links in the left-hand navigation menu.
The myLesley Home page is the go-to resource for Lesley resources, useful links, and other important content. The content will vary slightly depending on your role at the university (student, faculty, staff).
The Profile page allows you to upload a profile picture, add/edit your pronouns and name pronunciation, and edit your notification settings. Please note that you cannot edit or update your contact information on the Profile page - you must update this information in Self-Service.
The Activity Stream shows you what's new in all of your courses and allows you to easily navigate to your content. The Activity Stream includes notifications about past due assignments, upcoming events and due dates, and other announcements and activity. You may filter or select which activities appear on the Activity Stream. Watch the Activity Stream video for more information.
Courses vary in design depending on the instructor, but some common elements exist. See Navigate Inside Your Course for an overview on these basic myLesley course components.
Having trouble seeing your course(s)? See Getting Access to myLesley courses for more information.
The Calendar tool can be used to keep track of your assignments and other useful information. Your instructors may add due dates for assignments and other useful information to the calendar. Watch the Use the Calendar video for more information.
Course messages are private and secure text-based communication that occurs within your course among course members. Unlike course emails, you must be logged in to a course to read and send course messages. Watch the Messages video for more information.
The Grades area shows all grading information across all of your courses.
Faculty will see a summary for each course, including which items are ready to be graded, and can begin grading from this page. Select an item's title to open it, choose a submission, and start grading.
Students will see a list of recently graded items, upcoming assignments, and overall grades for each course. Click on a course to view all graded items within that course. Students can also see newly posted grades in their Activity Stream.
Blackboard Assist features campus resources for students. Two services can be featured at the top of the page with additional services listed below in alphabetical order.
The Tools area allows you to access tools outside of a course (ex VoiceThread, your Kaltura My Media, Brainfuse Online Tutoring, Infobase tutorials, and more. You will only see tools that you have access to.
